Products and descriptions

The product page identifies the item, price, available options and main characteristics. Check the stated size, colour, model, material and any safety or care information before ordering. Photographs can appear different on different screens; this does not remove your right to goods that match their description and any agreed specification.

Product brand names identify the relevant products and their manufacturers or brand owners. Product-specific guarantees, where offered, are additional to your statutory rights. A manufacturer warranty does not replace our responsibilities as your seller.

Ordering and payment

You can review your basket and correct details before placing an order. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP), including applicable taxes. UK standard delivery is free. The total and the payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout before you commit to purchase.

By placing your order, you ask to purchase the items on the terms shown. Our order confirmation email confirms acceptance of your order and the contract between us. Please retain it with the terms and product information that applied when you ordered. If you do not receive confirmation, contact us.

If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you to explain and arrange the appropriate remedy, including a refund where required. We will not charge a higher price or substitute a different product without your agreement. An error does not give us an unrestricted right to cancel an already binding contract.

Delivery

UK standard delivery is free, with an estimated delivery time of 3–7 business days from placing your order, including processing. See our Shipping Policy for details and your rights if delivery is delayed. We remain responsible for goods until delivery to you or your nominated recipient, except where you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer.

Cancellation, returns and faulty goods

For return instructions, the return address and full refund details, see our Returns and Refunds Policy. You arrange and pay return postage when you change your mind; we cover reasonable return costs for valid faulty or misdescribed-goods claims.

For eligible online purchases, you have 14 days after the day you receive your goods to tell us you wish to cancel, and a further 14 days after telling us to send them back. If goods in a single order arrive separately, the cancellation period runs from the day after the last item arrives. You may also cancel before delivery. Send a clear cancellation statement by email or post using our contact details above. No particular form is required.

You may inspect goods as you could in a shop. Any deduction for loss of value must be permitted by law and relate to handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Your rights are not subject to a blanket requirement for unopened or original packaging.

For a full-order cancellation, we refund the goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery we offered. We refund using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without refund fees. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier; the refund is then due within 14 days. Where we offer to collect the goods, the refund is due within 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling.

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their ordinary purposes and any particular purpose made known to us where you reasonably rely on our skill or judgement, and as described. For faulty or misdescribed goods, you generally have a short-term right to reject within 30 days. After that, repair, replacement, price reduction or a final right to reject may apply under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These rights are separate from change-of-mind returns and are not limited to a manufacturer’s warranty. We bear reasonable return costs where goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Contact us if you need help arranging a return or exercising your rights. Contacting us for practical return instructions does not prevent you from giving a valid cancellation notice within the legal deadline.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is processed when you use this website and place an order.

Complaints and applicable rights

Email contact@oak-vale.net with your order number, if available, and a description of the problem. We will investigate and explain our proposed resolution. You remain free to use the remedies and courts available under applicable law; these terms do not restrict mandatory consumer protections.

Changes to these terms apply to future orders. The terms agreed when you placed an order continue to govern that order unless you agree otherwise or the law requires a change.
